One technical issue: we love, love, love reading your comments! But just to clarify, even though you may subscribe to the blog, unless you include your name in the box provided at the end of your comment, it shows up as from anonymous. That’s fine if you want to remain anonymous but I’m guessing that most of you don’t.
Because rain was forecast for today, we went to the National WWII Museum. It was terrific. I wish everyone could see this and be reminded of not only the sacrifice that was made by so many (the numbers who died are staggering) for our freedom but also to be reminded of what evil, left unchecked, can do.
Love that plane! I can’t tell what it is but I got to fly in a B-24. I love the old warbirds-and the pilots that flew them, especially the WASP. Enjoying your pictures and stories, especially your assumptions and surprises. Glad you loved Texas.
Peggy, Stan said it is a B 17. John and Diane, Stan loved the pictures of the museum and the plane.
We went to New Orleans and saw the WWII Museum. It was wonderful.
Also took a bayou tour, saw gathers. When we went on the Plantation tours, we saw the ORIGINAL slave houses. It is not on the popular tours. It is mostly for educational. IT WAS FANTASTIC! Let me know if you want the name of the plantation. I’d give it to you now, but I’m babysitting my granddaughter at her house.
Would love to know the name!

I just saw on YouTube a story about Whitney Plantation. Next time I’m in LA, I am going to go there.
Wow, you know you’re not in California anymore when you’re on the lookout for gators!
So fun! Love the WWll museum!!! On the swamp tour I went on the guide fed the gators marshmallows!
So glad you got the Museum in! We heard it was amazing but couldn’t fit it in. Next time! The gators are there, they can see you but you can’t see them!
You are seeing so many different places and you’very only just begun! We enjoy seeing the pictures.
Up til now, Nick has has no interest in New Orleans or swamps. However, the WWII Museum might tempt him; it looks wonderful. I look forward to finding your latest tale every night.
