If you are reading this post, you know that the Kigers are leaving the day after Christmas on a year-long trip around the U.S. We never thought we would ever do a blog about anything (we really aren’t that interesting) but it seemed it would be the best way for our family to see where we were and what we were doing. In the meantime, lots of friends have asked about a blog. So here is your chance to “follow” us. On the home page in the right column, subscribe to receive email notifications of any new posts. And please know, that if you subscribe and then unsubscribe later, we promise to not take it personally!
On the site, you will notice a map that tracks our whereabouts. If we happen to be somewhere you’ve visited, we’d love to hear about anything that you loved (outdoors, restaurants, museums, etc.).
One final note: We (mostly Diane) will be posting on the run and in a hurry so please don’t judge our spelling and punctuation. You know who you are!
What a great idea this is!!!!! Bates’ can’t wait to read all about your adventures.
❤️ It!!! Can’t wait to follow your adventure!!
Can’t wait for you to get to NOLA!
Looking forward to following your adventures!
I love this idea!!! I can’t wait to see what you guys are up to!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Can’t wait
So jealous! So happy someone is brave enough to follow the road less traveled safe journey. Looking forward to being inspired.
No that I see you doing it, I may retire in April and meet you on the road somewhere. Have fun!
Now not No
Jealous as well. An “around the country” trip is on our bucket list. We’ll be following closely.
Enjoy the journey! I’m looking forward to traveling vicariously through you!

Sounds like a blast and we will be following with keen interest. We have discussed doing something similar though not quite as long. Do you plan to stay mostly in RV parks with hookups, boondock or a little of both?
No boondocking. But a combination of state and national parks and rv parks.
So excited for you guys ………..BUT…….I will miss you alot. Thanks for giving us all an opportunity to ride along with you. Have a great time!
Diane — you’re on vacation, so you get a pass on the spelling and punctuation! I’ll just be glad to hear from you. The day is almost here!
